“The Mug House and it’s Mysteries”  The Mug House also is known to be a haunted place, things move about in the cellar for when the Licencee Is attending to the barrels - the mallet used is mysteriously moved from one side of the cellar to the other, this action has been put down to that of a mischievous child, doors open and close without apparent cause.

Beer in the Evening. “Classic village pub, reputedly the only one in the UK on consecrated ground (its in a churchyard!) Multi room layout, a smoke room, lounge & snug, all different in character... the 4 ales on were Banks's mild & bitter, plus 2 guests from the Banks's stable, the 2 we tried were very good. Food from a no-nonsense menu lookled good too... handy for the M5 (junction 6)... well worth a visit “

Trip Advisor “Hundreds if not thousands will have sat in your seat before you. This pub is amazing. The atmosphere is great, low beams and small serving hatches hide a small bar with an array of ales. The food is basic, egg and chips or sausage bap but good all the same. Whether you are sat in the Snug, the 'main' bar or one of three beer gardens ( the second being a walled churchyard garden) you cannot and will not want to escape from this ideal little pub. Enjoy and raise a toast to those who drank before you. “

“An absolute gem in the crown of quintessential England, a pub, dating back to the 14th century with crooked beams, open fire places, and during summer months, a consistent prize winning display of hanging baskets & tubs, all set within a typically English church yard. Judith (20 years in residence) & her team produce a select but superb menu of lunches, with her signature dish being locally reared, home cured ham, of course with egg & chunky chips...Yum..Yum!...Sit out in the garden & enjoy rural England at its finest...maybe engage in conversation with the locals...mines a pint of "Thatchers" thank you!...Enjoy, but dont tell too many people..it's our secret!”
